Dewara is a small village of 715 hectares in Jalor Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dewara depends on JALOR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 42.71% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Dewara is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Dewara's pin code is 343025[4], and village code is 02297100. The area of Dewara is segregated as 128.13 hectares irrigated area, 415.3 hectares unirrigated, the 81.24 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 90.1 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Dewara has One public telephone. Dewara has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Dewara is a census village in the district of Jalor, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1324 and has total administration over 206 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Dewara has 215 children, 118 boys and 97 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 225 (16.99%) males constitute 114 (8.61%) of the population and females 111 (8.38%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 205 (15.48%) males constitute 113 (8.53%) of the population and females 92 (6.95%).

According to a census 2011 report, 586 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 357 male, 229 female with 407 (69.45%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 331 males and 76 females. 89 males and 9 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 111 male and 50 female agricultural labor. 179 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jalor to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
