Dhamana is a small village of 2162 hectares in Kapasan Tehsil in Chittorgarh district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dhamana depends on Kapasan, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, which is 113.70% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dhamana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Dhamana's pin code is 312202[4], and village code is 03618000. The area of Dhamana is segregated as 181.88 hectares irrigated area, 919.61 hectares unirrigated, the 605.04 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 455.16 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Dhamana has One post office (Dhamana B.O) and Forty Five public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Dhamana is a census village in the district of Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3102 and has total administration over 685 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Dhamana has 373 children, 193 boys and 180 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 717 (23.11%) males constitute 359 (11.57%) of the population and females 358 (11.54%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 200 (6.45%) males constitute 93 (3.0%) of the population and females 107 (3.45%).

The workforce is 921 male, 832 female with 1364 (77.81%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 779 males and 585 females. 473 males and 436 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 51 male and 64 female agricultural labor. 389 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kapasan and Chittorgarh to sell ghee and make their living.
