Dhanao is a small village of 251 hectares in Hindoli Tehsil in Bundi district, also known as a city of stepwells in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dhanao depends on BUNDI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 20.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Dhanao is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Dhanao's pin code is 323024[3], and village code is 02709200. The area of Dhanao is segregated as 87 hectares irrigated area, 48 hectares unirrigated, the 56 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 60 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Dhanao has One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Dhanao has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Dhanao is a census village in the district of Bundi, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1081 and has total administration over 217 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 15 (1.39%) males constitute 6 (0.56%) of the population and females 9 (0.83%).

According to a census 2011 report, 593 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 303 male, 290 female with 392 (66.1%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 207 males and 185 females. 120 males and 149 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 8 male and 11 female agricultural labor. 201 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bundi to sell ghee and make their living.
