Dhanta is a small village of 2387 hectares in Sirohi Tehsil in Sirohi district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dhanta depends on SIROHI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 246.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dhanta is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Dhanta's pin code is 307001[4], and village code is 02355200. The area of Dhanta is segregated as 301 hectares irrigated area, 186 hectares unirrigated, the 939 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 110 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Dhanta has One post office (Dhanta B.O) and One public telephone. Dhanta has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Dhanta is a census village in the district of Sirohi, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 931 and has total administration over 1785 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Dhanta has 167 children, 117 boys and 732 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 385 (41.35%) males constitute 347 (37.27%) of the population and females 88 (9.45%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 44 (4.73%) males constitute 44 (4.73%) of the population and females 647 (69.50%).

The workforce is 191 male, 495 female with 412 (89.37%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 83 males and 139 females. 16 males and 121 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 19 male and 1 female agricultural labor. 49 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sirohi to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
