Dharwan is a small village of 606 hectares in Indragarh Tehsil in Bundi district, also known as a city of stepwells in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dharwan depends on LAKHERI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dharwan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Dharwan's pin code is 323603[3], and village code is 02742300. The area of Dharwan is segregated as 326.27 hectares irrigated area, 57.73 hectares unirrigated, the 116 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 106.3 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Dharwan has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Dharwan is a census village in the district of Bundi, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 898 and has total administration over 209 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Dharwan has 124 children, 62 boys and 62 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 372 (41.43%) males constitute 194 (21.60%) of the population and females 178 (19.82%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 113 (12.58%) males constitute 54 (6.01%) of the population and females 59 (6.57%).

The workforce is 242 male, 211 female with 196 (43.27%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 187 males and 9 females. 146 males and 4 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 27 male and 2 female agricultural labor. 257 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of LAKHERI and Bundi to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
