Dholi is a small village of 1229 hectares in Asind Tehsil in Bhilwara district, also known as the Textile City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dholi depends on Asind, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 7.14% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dholi is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Dholi's pin code is 311024[4], and village code is 02796400. The area of Dholi is segregated as 91.53 hectares irrigated area, 91.08 hectares unirrigated, the 990.06 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 56.14 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Dholi has One post office (Dholi B.O) and Six public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Dholi has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Dholi is a census village in the district of Bhilwara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1563 and has total administration over 345 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Dholi has 293 children, 145 boys and 148 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 205 (13.12%) males constitute 87 (5.57%) of the population and females 118 (7.55%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 168 (10.75%) males constitute 69 (4.41%) of the population and females 99 (6.33%).

According to a census 2011 report, 877 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 384 male, 493 female with 525 (59.86%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 320 males and 205 females. 221 males and 151 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 4 male and 6 female agricultural labor. 352 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Asind and Bhilwara to sell earthen pot and make their living.
