Didawata is a small village of 1695 hectares in Phagi Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Didawata depends on Chaksu, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 2.07% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Didawata is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Didawata's pin code is 303006[4], and village code is 01542200. The area of Didawata is segregated as 422.69 hectares irrigated area, 1050.47 hectares unirrigated, the 143.82 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 77.53 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Didawata has One post office (Didawata B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Didawata has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Didawata is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2629 and has total administration over 480 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Didawata has 346 children, 186 boys and 160 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 682 (25.94%) males constitute 368 (14.0%) of the population and females 314 (11.94%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 61 (2.32%) males constitute 35 (1.33%) of the population and females 26 (0.99%).

Employment[edit]

According to a census 2011 report, 1183 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 732 male, 451 female with 1137 (96.11%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 713 males and 424 females. 498 males and 329 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 30 male and 9 female agricultural labor. 46 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Chaksu and Jaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
