Dodi is a small village of 637 hectares in Nainwa Tehsil in Bundi district, also known as a city of stepwells in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dodi depends on NAINWA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 122.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dodi is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Dodi's pin code is 323802[3], and village code is 02723600. The area of Dodi is segregated as 386 hectares irrigated area, 112 hectares unirrigated, the 29 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 110 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Dodi has One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Dodi has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Dodi is a census village in the district of Bundi, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1440 and has total administration over 288 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Dodi has 220 children, 125 boys and 95 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 214 (14.86%) males constitute 123 (8.54%) of the population and females 91 (6.32%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1121 (77.85%) males constitute 600 (41.67%) of the population and females 521 (36.18%).

The workforce is 401 male, 384 female with 359 (45.73%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 339 males and 20 females. 271 males and 3 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 23 male and 9 female agricultural labor. 426 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of NAINWA and Bundi to sell juggary and make their living.
