Dola is a small village of 1619 hectares in Pirawa Tehsil in Jhalawar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dola depends on Pirawa, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 101.17% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dola is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Dola's pin code is 326513[4], and village code is 04107800. The area of Dola is segregated as 177.05 hectares irrigated area, 1196.33 hectares unirrigated, the 187.17 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 58.29 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Dola has One post office (Dola B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Dola has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Demographics[edit]

Dola is a census village in the district of Jhalawar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1512 and has total administration over 264 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Dola has 201 children, 110 boys and 91 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 349 (23.08%) males constitute 181 (11.97%) of the population and females 168 (11.11%).

The workforce is 442 male, 448 female with 695 (78.09%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 368 males and 327 females. 296 males and 277 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 35 male and 37 female agricultural labor. 195 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pirawa and Jhalawar to sell ghee and make their living.
