Dorai is a small village of 445 hectares in Kekri Tehsil in Ajmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dorai depends on Kekri, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dorai is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Dorai's pin code is 305404[4], and village code is 02574300. The area of Dorai is segregated as 73 hectares irrigated area, 152 hectares unirrigated, the 150 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 70 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Dorai has One public telephone. Dorai has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Dorai is a census village in the district of Ajmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 391 and has total administration over 87 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Dorai has 59 children, 27 boys and 32 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 156 (39.90%) males constitute 84 (21.48%) of the population and females 72 (18.41%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 5 (1.28%) males constitute 2 (0.51%) of the population and females 3 (0.77%).

The workforce is 109 male, 107 female with 148 (68.52%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 90 males and 58 females. 36 males and 48 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 8 male and 6 female agricultural labor. 68 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kekri and Ajmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
