Dr. Jonathan Kiev is a thoracic surgeon with over 20 years of experience.[1] He received his M.D. from Tulane University School of Medicine and his A.B. from Syracuse University. He is licensed in Kentucky, Texas, and Florida and duly certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery & the American Board of Surgery.[2][3]
Dr. Jonathan Kiev received his M.D. from Tulane University School of Medicine (T.U.S.M.) in New Orleans, Louisiana. He graduated from Syracuse University with his A.B. in Syracuse, New York.
Dr. Jonathan Kiev holds licensure in Kentucky, Texas, and Florida. He was certified by the (A.B.T.S.) American Board of Thoracic Surgery & the (A.B.S.) American Board of Surgery in 2002, 2010, and 2022, respectively.[4]
Dr. Jonathan Kiev completed fellowships in Advanced Thoracic Surgery at The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Maryland, and Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery at the (U.P.M.C.) The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Cardiothoracic Surgery at (L.L.U.M.C.) Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, California.[5]
Dr. Jonathan Kiev completed his General Surgery Residency at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and St. Barnabas Med Center in Livingston, New Jersey.[6][7]
Dr. Jonathan Kiev has held various appointments, including Attending Thoracic Surgeon at St Joseph's Hospital in Lexington, KY, Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Kentucky School of Medicine, Thoracic Surgical Oncology at Cancer Treatment Centers of America, and Assistant Professor of Surgery at (M.U.S.M.) Marshall University School of Medicine. He has also worked in private practice at Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania
In 2023, Dr. Jon Kiev launched the inaugural Dr. Jon Kiev Scholarship fund which awards a deserving student that is studying medicine with scholarship funding.[8][9]
