Dunai is a small village of 333 hectares in Koil Tehsil in Aligarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dunai depends on Aligarh (M Corp, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Dunai's pin code is 202140[4], and village code is 01353900. The area of Dunai is segregated as 200 hectares irrigated area, 22 hectares unirrigated area. the 49 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 62 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Dunai has One post office (Dunai B.O) and Five public telephones. Dunai has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Dunai is a census village in the district of Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 2021 and has total administration over 282 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Dunai has 405 children, 229 boys and 176 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 185 (9.15%) males constitute 103 (5.10%) of the population and females 82 (4.06%).

The workforce is 521 male, 106 female with 477 (76.08%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 428 males and 49 females. 116 males and 8 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 38 male and 1 female agricultural labor. 150 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Aligarh (M Corp and Aligarh to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
