Durana is a small village of 398 hectares in Jhunjhunu Tehsil in Jhunjhunu district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Durana depends on Jhunjhunu, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 51.20% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Durana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Durana's pin code is 333041[4], and village code is 00684900. The area of Durana is segregated as 51.2 hectares irrigated area, 284 hectares unirrigated, the 47.05 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 16 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Durana has One post office (Durana B.O) and Nine public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Durana has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Durana is a census village in the district of Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 810 and has total administration over 162 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jhunjhunu to sell wood furniture and make their living.
