Ebony Peterkin, known as Ladysticks, is a globetrotting percussionist who has played venues around the world. Raised in Hoke County, North Carolina, she attended The Musicians Institute, a performing arts high school in Los Angeles, California. Upon graduation she went on tour entertaining audiences around the world. In 2009, she returned home and launched a performing arts school to train youth in the community in a variety of art mediums from musical instruments, voice and dance. It was important to give back to the community that gave her so much.[1]

On February 5th, 2022, people could get a glimpse of her journey from Hoke County, NC to Hollywood, CA. She has played at venues around the world and in the United States, her greatest joy is supporting young artists in her hometown and surrounding communities. The Ladysticks show, a percussion comedy musical, will also feature N.B.O.T.B, and Deion Warren (season 20) contestant from the hit show, The Voice. The Ladysticks show will take place at Sandhills Community College at the Bradford Performing Arts Center 3395 Airport Road Pinehurst, NC. Showtime is at 7pm. Tickets are available in advance and at the door.[2]

Proceeds from The Ladysticks show will benefit a scholarship to honor the late Dr. Mary Kemp Thomas. Dr. Thomas was the first graduate of Sandhills Community College. There is a statue in her honor at the Sandhills-Hoke campus.
