Echeri is a small village of 752 hectares in Baswa Tehsil in Dausa district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Echeri depends on Bandikui, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Echeri is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Echeri's pin code is 303323[4], and village code is 01341700. The area of Echeri is segregated as 124.01 hectares irrigated area, 80.01 hectares unirrigated, the 87.04 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 14.03 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Echeri has One post office (Ancheri B.O) and One public telephone. Echeri has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Echeri is a census village in the district of Dausa, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1765 and has total administration over 313 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Echeri has 312 children, 167 boys and 145 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 181 (10.25%) males constitute 84 (4.76%) of the population and females 97 (5.50%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1259 (71.33%) males constitute 651 (36.88%) of the population and females 608 (34.45%).

The workforce is 461 male, 422 female with 738 (83.58%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 372 males and 366 females. 197 males and 212 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 48 male and 106 female agricultural labor. 145 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bandikui and Dausa to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
