Elaine Mackenzie Ellis is a Scottish actress and writer. She is best known for her role as Natalie Nesbitt in Rab C Nesbitt and starring as Tina the taxi driver in CBeebies show Me Too! (British TV series)!.[1]
Career[edit]
Elaine grew up in and currently lives in Glasgow, Scotland.[2]
In 1996–1999, Elaine played Natalie Nesbitt in the Scottish television programme Rab C Nesbitt.[2]
In 1996, Elaine played taxi driver Tina in the children's television programme Me Too! (British TV series)! which aired on CBeebies.[1]
Ellis has appeared in various different radio programmes for BBC Radio Scotland, including ‘The Ellis and Clarke Show’.
In 2003, Elaine played Nursing Sister in the Scottish comedy Still Game.[3]
In 2011, she played Jo in the Channel 4 series Shameless (British TV series).
In 2016, Ellis played in Cinderella at King's Theatre, Glasgow. She took part in an all-female comedy show called ‘Funny How’ in the same year.[4]
In 2018, she starred as Night Nurse Kelly in Trust Me 2 which aired on BBC One.[5]
In 2019, she played housekeeper Agnes in pantomime in Barmulloch.[6]
In 2021, Elaine was a guest on Scottish podcast ‘Tales Fae The East’[7]
