Ewald Volgger (born October 6 1961 in Bruneck, South Tyrol), is a Roman Catholic Church Austria theologian and priests.
Volgger studied Roman catholic theology at Philosophisch-Theologische Hochschule Brixen and at University of Vienna. In 1980, Volgger became a member of the Teutonic Order. On June 28, 1986 Volgger was ordained as catholic priest in Vienna. In 1999, Volgger became part of faculty of Philosophisch-Theologische Hochschule Brixen. Since 2003, Volgger became part of faculty of Catholic Private University Linz From 2010 to 2014 Volgger was rector of Catholic Private University Linz. Volgger wrote several books over Roman catholic themes. in May 2020, Volgger published with support of Roman Catholic bishop Franz Lackner a book The benediction of same sex partnerships with liturgical advices, how a worship for Blessing of same-sex unions in Christian churches can be.[1]
