Farakpur is a small village of 574 hectares in Karauli Tehsil in Karauli district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Farakpur depends on KARAULI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Farakpur is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Farakpur's pin code is 322242[4], and village code is 01227700. The area of Farakpur is segregated as 20.82 hectares irrigated area, 49.57 hectares unirrigated, the 2.68 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 25.72 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Farakpur has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Farakpur is a census village in the district of Karauli, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 479 and has total administration over 72 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Farakpur has 79 children, 39 boys and 40 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 28 (5.85%) males constitute 15 (3.13%) of the population and females 13 (2.71%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Karauli to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
