Fiction

Fiction is any creative work, most notably any narrative work, that is composed of characters, events, or locations that are imagined in a way that is not strictly based on historical or factual events or circumstances. If you take fiction to its most precise definition, it relates to tales written in prose and typically specifically novels, but it may also apply to novellas and short stories. Broadly speaking, fiction now includes fictional tales conveyed in any media, including not just written works but also live theatrical performances, films, television shows, radio plays and comic books, as well as role-playing games and video games.
