Tyler Preston Filmore (born November 20, 1988), known professionally as Filmore, is an American Country music singer and songwriter. He is signed to Curb Records[1].

Early life[edit]

Filmore was involved in local groups and choirs growing up in his hometown of Wildwood, Missouri before attending the University of Missouri, where he honed his talent gaining fans throughout the region as the leader of The Tyler Filmore Band[2]. Following school, Filmore moved to Nashville, Tennessee where he began his pursuit of a solo career.

Career[edit]

Writing and performing country music, with a twist of pop and electronic sounds, Filmore released his first solo EP, entitled Proof, in 2016, followed by track releases "Goodnight," "Unreal," and "You Know You Wanna". Shortly after, he released his breakout single, "Slower"[3] in 2018, which pushed him further into the mainstream. Prior to being signed, Filmore was the first independent artist to be featured on Spotify's Hot Country cover[4].

In 2020, Filmore made his major label debut with the release of State I'm In.[5]. His music and electric live shows have led him to performances on NBC's Today (American TV program)[6], The Bobby Bones Show[7], The Highway (Sirius XM)[8], Stagecoach Festival[9], Watershed Music Festival[10], CMA Music Festival[11], Indianapolis 500[12], Country Thunder[13], and the Grand Ole Opry[4].

Filmore has toured with Sam Hunt, Walker Hayes, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Dan + Shay, Russell Dickerson, Lauren Alaina, Brett Young (singer), Jon Pardi, Michael Ray (singer), Chase Rice, and Pitbull (rapper), and is currently releasing a song per week throughout Spring 2022[14].

Personal life[edit]

Filmore grew up in Wildwood, Missouri and continued his education at the University of Missouri. Filmore is a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues, St. Louis BattleHawks, Imo's Pizza, and Arch Apparel. He currently lives is Nashville, TN with his wife, Paige, and their two dogs, Nala and Wrangler[15].
