Frasers Hospitality is a Singapore-based international hospitality chain that is a subsidiary of Frasers Property. It owns and manages over 140 hotels and serviced apartments in the luxury, premium and midscale segments across Asia, Oceania, Middle East, Europe and Africa.[1]
Its portfolio of brands include Fraser Suites, Fraser Place, Fraser Residence, Modena by Fraser, Capri by Fraser, Malmaison and Hotel du Vin.[2][3]
Frasers Hospitality began operations in 1998 with the opening of two serviced residences in Singapore at the height of the 1997 Asian financial crisis.[4][5]
In 2010, the chain entered the midscale market with the launch of the Modena by Fraser brand. The first property was opened in Tianjin, China.[6] Frasers Hospitality launched its hotel-residence brand Capri by Fraser in 2012 which is targeted at millennial travellers.[7][8]
The group went public in 2014 on the Singapore Exchange as a stapled security, consisting of a real estate investment trust (REIT) and a business trust.[9][10] It trades under the name of Frasers Hospitality Trust.[11]
In 2015, Frasers Hospitality expanded its presence in Europe through the acquisition of 29 Hotel du Vin and Malmaison hotels from KSL Capital Partners for £363 million.[12][13] In the same year, the chain purchased four properties in the UK from Swire Properties Hotels Holdings for £36.1 million.[14][15]
The current chief executive officer is Koh Teck Chuan.[16]
Fraser World is the official loyalty programme of Frasers Hospitality. The previous loyalty programme was a recognition-based scheme.[17]
