Gagura is a small village of 2209 hectares in Sojat Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gagura depends on Sojat, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Gagura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Gagura's pin code is 306104[4], and village code is 02414600. The area of Gagura is segregated as 181.53 hectares irrigated area, 969.86 hectares unirrigated, the 526.14 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 531 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Gagura has One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Gagura has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Gagura is a census village in the district of Pali, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1354 and has total administration over 349 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Gagura has 193 children, 104 boys and 89 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 390 (28.80%) males constitute 206 (15.21%) of the population and females 184 (13.59%).

The workforce is 368 male, 229 female with 357 (59.8%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 295 males and 62 females. 148 males and 36 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 31 male and 8 female agricultural labor. 240 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sojat and Pali to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
