Galana is a small village of 938 hectares in Ladpura Tehsil in Kota district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Galana depends on KAITHOON, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Galana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Galana's pin code is 325001[3], and village code is 03805400. The area of Galana is segregated as 816.67 hectares irrigated area, 36.24 hectares unirrigated, the 30.88 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 53.88 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Galana has One post office (Golana B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Galana has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Galana is a census village in the district of Kota, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1466 and has total administration over 263 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 438 (29.88%) males constitute 223 (15.21%) of the population and females 215 (14.67%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 234 (15.96%) males constitute 120 (8.19%) of the population and females 114 (7.78%).

According to a census 2011 report, 693 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 382 male, 311 female with 308 (44.44%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 285 males and 23 females. 111 males and 9 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 85 male and 5 female agricultural labor. 385 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KAITHOON and Kota to sell ghee and make their living.
