Gamri is a small village of 1473 hectares in Salumbar Tehsil in UDAIPUR district in the state of RAJASTHAN, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gamri depends on Udaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Gamri is also near by One lake. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Gamri's pin code is 313905[4], and village code is 03131400. The area of Gamri is segregated as 4 hectares irrigated area, 57 hectares unirrigated, the 73 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 50 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Gamri has One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Gamri has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Gamri is a census village in the district of UDAIPUR, RAJASTHAN. The village has a total population of 577 and has total administration over 120 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled tribe counts for 236 (40.90%) males constitute 113 (19.58%) of the population and females 123 (21.32%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of UDAIPUR to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
