Gangana is a small village of 517 hectares in Luni Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gangana depends on Jodhpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 46.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Gangana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Gangana's pin code is 342012[4], and village code is 01993800. The area of Gangana is segregated as 46 hectares irrigated area, 170 hectares unirrigated, the 88.67 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 212 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Gangana is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2735 and has total administration over 445 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

The workforce is 683 male, 315 female with 457 (45.79%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 375 males and 82 females. 64 males and 5 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 13 male and 13 female agricultural labor. 541 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jodhpur to sell ghee and make their living.
