Gangapuri is a small village of 280 hectares in Kotkasim Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gangapuri depends on REWARI (HARYANA), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Gangapuri is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Gangapuri's pin code is 301702[4], and village code is 00790600. The area of Gangapuri is segregated as 261 hectares irrigated area, 1 hectares unirrigated, the 7 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 11 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Gangapuri is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 585 and has total administration over 111 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 67 (11.45%) males constitute 38 (6.50%) of the population and females 29 (4.96%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 3 (0.51%) males constitute 2 (0.34%) of the population and females 1 (0.17%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of REWARI (HARYANA) and Alwar to sell earthen pot and make their living.
