On October 11, 2020, at night (about 2:00 a.m. GMT+4) Armenia fired missiles[1] at multi-apartment residential buildings in the central part of Ganja, the second largest city of Azerbaijan, located outside the frontline zone. The overnight shelling by Armenian armed forces had left at least nine people dead and 33 wounded, including women and children[2]. More than 10 apartment buildings and 100 different facilities in the surrounding areas were damaged as a result of missile attacks on an apartment building in the city centre[3]. The BBC reporter Orla Guerin: "We saw no sign of any military targets in the area that was hit just civilian homes and shops."[4]
