Garda is a small village of 689 hectares in Kishanganj Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Garda depends on Baran, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Garda is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Garda's pin code is 325216[4], and village code is 03903100. The area of Garda is segregated as 410 hectares irrigated area, 3 hectares unirrigated, the 205 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 71 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Garda has One post office (Garda B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Garda has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Garda is a census village in the district of Baran, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3027 and has total administration over 581 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Garda has 570 children, 318 boys and 252 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 170 (5.62%) males constitute 91 (3.01%) of the population and females 79 (2.61%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 2315 (76.48%) males constitute 1176 (38.85%) of the population and females 1139 (37.63%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Baran to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
