Gardwas is a small village of 814 hectares in Chauth Ka Barwara Tehsil in Sawai Madhopur district, also known for Ranthambore National Park in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gardwas depends on SAWAI MADHOPUR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Gardwas is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Gardwas's pin code is 322702[4], and village code is 01310500. The area of Gardwas is segregated as 116.58 hectares irrigated area, 531.5 hectares unirrigated, the 92.7 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 73.67 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Gardwas has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Gardwas is a census village in the district of Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1144 and has total administration over 230 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Gardwas has 184 children, 95 boys and 89 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 21 (1.84%) males constitute 9 (0.79%) of the population and females 12 (1.05%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 871 (76.14%) males constitute 437 (38.20%) of the population and females 434 (37.94%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sawai Madhopur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
