    Geoffroy de Versailles

    Geoffroy II de Versailles was a Bishop of Vienne in France, from 1440 to 1444, and then Bishop of Lyon from 1444–1446.[1] As Bishop of Lyon he became Primate of Gaul and thus head of the Roman Catholic Church in France.[2][3]

    Career[edit]

    Geoffroy de Vassali was president of the parliament of Paris and was elected archbishop of Vienne in 1440. He passed to the archdiocese of Lyon in 1444, but died in 1446.
