Ghasipura is a small village of 179 hectares in Malpura Tehsil in Tonk district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ghasipura depends on Malpura, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ghasipura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Ghasipura's pin code is 304501[4], and village code is 02600500. The area of Ghasipura is segregated as 7.57 hectares irrigated area, 105 hectares unirrigated, the 44 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 22 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Ghasipura has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Ghasipura is a census village in the district of Tonk, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 489 and has total administration over 89 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Ghasipura has 85 children, 34 boys and 51 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 45 (9.20%) males constitute 27 (5.52%) of the population and females 18 (3.68%).

The workforce is 110 male, 98 female with 190 (91.35%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 96 males and 94 females. 30 males and 21 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 49 male and 70 female agricultural labor. 18 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Malpura and Tonk to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
