Ghata is a small village of 617 hectares in Bassi Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ghata depends on Jaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ghata is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Ghata's pin code is 303301[4], and village code is 01609500. The area of Ghata is segregated as 166.05 hectares irrigated area, 163.05 hectares unirrigated, the 194.22 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 93.8 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Ghata is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3087 and has total administration over 448 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Ghata has 543 children, 284 boys and 259 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 920 (29.80%) males constitute 484 (15.68%) of the population and females 436 (14.12%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1548 (50.15%) males constitute 818 (26.50%) of the population and females 730 (23.65%).

The workforce is 760 male, 602 female with 765 (56.17%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 596 males and 169 females. 197 males and 116 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 4 male and 7 female agricultural labor. 597 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jaipur and Jaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
