Ghata is a small village of 775 hectares in Kushalgarh Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ghata depends on Kushalgarh, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Ghata is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Ghata's pin code is 327801[4], and village code is 03497200. The area of Ghata is segregated as 70 hectares irrigated area, 443 hectares unirrigated area.

Ghata has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Ghata is a census village in the district of Banswara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3124 and has total administration over 634 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Ghata has 690 children, 344 boys and 346 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 110 (3.52%) males constitute 54 (1.73%) of the population and females 56 (1.79%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 2996 (95.90%) males constitute 1512 (48.40%) of the population and females 1484 (47.50%).

The workforce is 778 male, 808 female with 802 (50.57%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 481 males and 321 females. 440 males and 312 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 28 male and 5 female agricultural labor. 784 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kushalgarh and Banswara to sell ghee and make their living.
