Godan is a small village of 1716 hectares in Ahore Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Godan depends on JALOR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 618.36% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Godan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Godan's pin code is 307029[4], and village code is 02285800. The area of Godan is segregated as 665 hectares irrigated area, 543 hectares unirrigated, the 346 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 161.74 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Godan has One post office (Godan B.O) and Twenty Five public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Godan has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Godan is a census village in the district of Jalor, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3249 and has total administration over 612 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Godan has 537 children, 274 boys and 263 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 548 (16.87%) males constitute 280 (8.62%) of the population and females 268 (8.25%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 649 (19.98%) males constitute 355 (10.93%) of the population and females 294 (9.05%).

The workforce is 831 male, 648 female with 1102 (74.51%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 763 males and 339 females. 183 males and 104 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 142 male and 52 female agricultural labor. 377 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jalor to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
