Godson Umeh (born 11 September 1995) is a British-Nigerian jewelry designer and entrepreneur. born and raised in London, known for creating handcrafted custom jewellery.[1]

Early life and education[edit]

Godson Umeh, the second oldest of four children, was born on September 11, 1995, in Reading, Berkshire, to Nigerian immigrant parents. He attended Little Heath School, Redbridge (Reading), before dropping out to pursue a career in fashion.[2]

Career[edit]

After leaving school at 17, Godson worked as a wardrobe shoe retailer. He made used of social media to launch his career.Godson announced a collaboration with American rapper Meek Mill, in March 2022 to design "Smactus" a pendant design for the musician.

Among others Godson designs has been worn by celebrities such as Arvin Appiah|Amoakoh Appiah, Raheem Sterling, Zlatan (musician)|Zlatan,[3] Darkoo, Konan of the rap duo Krept and Konan, Ebeguowen Otasowie, Trevoh Chalobah, Sean Combs, Davido [4] and American rapper Juelz Santana|Julez Santana.[5][6]

Godson Umeh vs. Tempo Arts[edit]

On January 2023 during the broadcast of MF & DAZN X Series on Fightmag, it was announced that Godson umeh will be making his professional boxing debut against American Artist TempoART on Misfit's boxing Fifth event, MF & DAZN Group|DAZN X Series 005,[7][8] Godson lost via KO/TKO at 3:00 of Round One,[9] After he dislocated his shoulder.[10][11]

The fight took place in Telford International Centre in Telford, England. [12][13]

Projects / Philanthropy[edit]

Godson established a non-profit organization, which supports the wellness of young people, to help them launch their businesses. On May 4, 2020, Umeh donated $6,000 (Nigerian naira|₦2,000,000 NGN) to a fundraising campaign in the wake of the devastating COVID-19 pandemic devastation.

Umeh announced in October 2022 that he would be removing an unidentified number of homeless people from the streets and sponsoring their schooling.[14]
