Golana is a small village of 2073 hectares in Bhinmal Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Golana depends on BHINMAL, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 739.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Golana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Golana's pin code is 307515[4], and village code is 02306500. The area of Golana is segregated as 739 hectares irrigated area, 266 hectares unirrigated, the 257 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 811 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Golana is a census village in the district of Jalor, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2721 and has total administration over 558 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Golana has 433 children, 238 boys and 195 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 332 (12.20%) males constitute 167 (6.14%) of the population and females 165 (6.06%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 206 (7.57%) males constitute 104 (3.82%) of the population and females 102 (3.75%).

The workforce is 538 male, 238 female with 706 (90.98%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 499 males and 207 females. 345 males and 158 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 38 male and 35 female agricultural labor. 70 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BHINMAL and Jalor to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
