Golasan is a small village of 2448 hectares in Sanchore Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Golasan depends on SANCHORE, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 30.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Golasan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Golasan's pin code is 343041[4], and village code is 02329700. The area of Golasan is segregated as 1013 hectares irrigated area, 801 hectares unirrigated, the 534 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 100 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Golasan is a census village in the district of Jalor, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3949 and has total administration over 641 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
As per the census 2011 report, 1571 people are literate in Golasan out of which 1045 are males and 526 are females.

According to a census 2011 report, 2061 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1110 male, 951 female with 1643 (79.72%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 965 males and 678 females. 686 males and 574 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 46 male and 53 female agricultural labor. 418 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of SANCHORE and Jalor to sell ghee and make their living.
