Golsar is a small village of 3117 hectares in Ratangarh Tehsil in Churu district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Golsar depends on RATANGARH, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 84.73% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Golsar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Golsar's pin code is 331022[4], and village code is 00644400. The area of Golsar is segregated as 84.73 hectares irrigated area, 2835.57 hectares unirrigated, the 127.65 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 69.5 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Golsar has One post office (Golsar B.O) and Three public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Golsar has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Demographics[edit]

Golsar is a census village in the district of Churu, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3726 and has total administration over 562 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Golsar has 628 children, 315 boys and 313 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 1438 (38.59%) males constitute 737 (19.78%) of the population and females 701 (18.81%).

The workforce is 874 male, 847 female with 691 (40.15%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 405 males and 286 females. 259 males and 224 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 39 male and 39 female agricultural labor. 1030 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of RATANGARH and Churu to sell furniture and make their living.
