Gopalgarh is a small village of 929 hectares in Pahari Tehsil in Bharatpur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gopalgarh depends on Kaman, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Gopalgarh is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Gopalgarh's pin code is 321204[4], and village code is 00962900. The area of Gopalgarh is segregated as 191 hectares irrigated area, 638 hectares unirrigated, the 7 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 93 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Gopalgarh has One post office (Gopalgarh B.O) and Twenty Five public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Gopalgarh has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with One recreational center.

Gopalgarh is a census village in the district of Bharatpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 5864 and has total administration over 848 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Gopalgarh has 1048 children, 560 boys and 488 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 609 (10.39%) males constitute 311 (5.30%) of the population and females 298 (5.08%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 138 (2.35%) males constitute 72 (1.23%) of the population and females 66 (1.13%).

According to a census 2011 report, 2736 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1658 male, 1078 female with 2122 (77.56%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1497 males and 625 females. 692 males and 382 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 106 male and 82 female agricultural labor. 614 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kaman and Bharatpur to sell earthen pot and make their living.
