Goras is a small village of 650 hectares in Fatehpur Tehsil in Sikar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Goras depends on fatehpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 3.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Goras is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Goras's pin code is 332301[4], and village code is 01662200. The area of Goras is segregated as 3 hectares irrigated area, 576 hectares unirrigated, the 54 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 17 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Goras is a census village in the district of Sikar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1148 and has total administration over 219 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 134 (11.67%) males constitute 63 (5.49%) of the population and females 71 (6.18%).

The workforce is 269 male, 224 female with 247 (50.1%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 194 males and 53 females. 166 males and 51 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 11 male and 1 female agricultural labor. 246 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of fatehpur and Sikar to sell ghee and make their living.
