Gordi is a small village of 589 hectares in Banswara Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gordi depends on Banswara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Gordi is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Gordi's pin code is 327001[4], and village code is 03431100. The area of Gordi is segregated as 301 hectares irrigated area, 33 hectares unirrigated, the 151 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 104 hectare area not available for cultivation.
The village is connected with a single bus service. Gordi has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Gordi is a census village in the district of Banswara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2518 and has total administration over 525 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
- Gordi has 425 children, 220 boys and 205 girls.
- Scheduled caste counts for 146 (5.80%) males constitute 67 (2.66%) of the population and females 79 (3.14%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 1845 (73.27%) males constitute 911 (36.18%) of the population and females 934 (37.09%).

Employment[edit]
According to a census 2011 report, 1397 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 716 male, 681 female with 819 (58.63%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 621 males and 198 females. 469 males and 152 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 7 male and 11 female agricultural labor. 578 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Banswara to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
