Gorera is a small village of 2742 hectares in Nagaur Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gorera depends on Nagaur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Gorera is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Gorera's pin code is 341030[4], and village code is 01798900. The area of Gorera is segregated as 99 hectares irrigated area, 2208 hectares unirrigated, the 40 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 395.27 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Gorera has One post office (Rohina B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Gorera has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Gorera is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3000 and has total administration over 502 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Gorera has 553 children, 265 boys and 288 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 1482 (49.40%) males constitute 764 (25.47%) of the population and females 718 (23.93%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 6 (0.20%) males constitute 4 (0.13%) of the population and females 2 (0.07%).

The workforce is 807 male, 750 female with 680 (43.67%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 415 males and 265 females. 235 males and 137 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 111 male and 27 female agricultural labor. 877 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Nagaur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
