Goriya is a small village of 2584 hectares in Bali Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Goriya depends on Bali, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Goriya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Goriya's pin code is 306307[4], and village code is 02482600. The area of Goriya is segregated as 117 hectares irrigated area, 205.26 hectares unirrigated, remaining 1718 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Goriya has One post office (Guriya B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Goriya has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Goriya is a census village in the district of Pali, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3207 and has total administration over 546 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

Employment[edit]

The workforce is 844 male, 827 female with 1136 (67.98%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 609 males and 527 females. 399 males and 300 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 159 male and 201 female agricultural labor. 535 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bali and Pali to sell coal and make their living.
