Goriya is a small village of 220 hectares in Manohar Thana Tehsil in Jhalawar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Goriya depends on Aklera, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 4.85% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Goriya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Goriya's pin code is 326037[4], and village code is 04066200. The area of Goriya is segregated as 52.67 hectares irrigated area, 60.85 hectares unirrigated, the 52.44 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 11.87 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Goriya is a census village in the district of Jhalawar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 793 and has total administration over 156 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Goriya has 126 children, 64 boys and 62 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 58 (7.31%) males constitute 28 (3.53%) of the population and females 30 (3.78%).

The workforce is 248 male, 223 female with 319 (67.73%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 166 males and 153 females. 163 males and 150 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 2 male and 2 female agricultural labor. 152 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Aklera and Jhalawar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
