Gorkhya is a small village of 1974 hectares in Mandal Tehsil in Bhilwara district, also known as the Textile City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gorkhya depends on Asind, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 4.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Gorkhya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Gorkhya's pin code is 311804[4], and village code is 02839200. The area of Gorkhya is segregated as 224 hectares irrigated area, 292 hectares unirrigated, the 1034.48 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 237.5 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Gorkhya has One post office (Gorkhiya B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Gorkhya has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Gorkhya is a census village in the district of Bhilwara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2624 and has total administration over 588 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
- Gorkhya has 441 children, 222 boys and 219 girls.
- Scheduled caste counts for 622 (23.70%) males constitute 306 (11.66%) of the population and females 316 (12.04%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 357 (13.61%) males constitute 158 (6.02%) of the population and females 199 (7.58%).

Employment[edit]
According to a census 2011 report, 1329 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 680 male, 649 female with 912 (68.62%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 530 males and 382 females. 302 males and 205 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 62 male and 116 female agricultural labor. 417 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Asind and Bhilwara to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
