Gosiya is a small village of 306 hectares in Girwa Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gosiya depends on Udaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 7.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Gosiya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Gosiya's pin code is 313801[4], and village code is 03160300. The area of Gosiya is segregated as 21 hectares irrigated area, 98 hectares unirrigated, the 10 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 88.05 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Gosiya is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1024 and has total administration over 237 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 40 (3.91%) males constitute 20 (1.95%) of the population and females 20 (1.95%).

According to a census 2011 report, 353 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 254 male, 99 female with 320 (90.65%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 246 males and 74 females. 97 males and 61 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 35 male and 3 female agricultural labor. 33 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Udaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
