Gothra is a small village of 334 hectares in Karauli Tehsil in Karauli district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gothra depends on GANGAPUR CITY, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 22.34% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Gothra is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Gothra's pin code is 322241[4], and village code is 01198100. The area of Gothra is segregated as 44.34 hectares irrigated area, 199.18 hectares unirrigated, the 35.17 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 18.97 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Gothra has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Gothra is a census village in the district of Karauli, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 757 and has total administration over 162 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Gothra has 117 children, 71 boys and 46 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 284 (37.52%) males constitute 150 (19.82%) of the population and females 134 (17.70%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 347 (45.84%) males constitute 190 (25.10%) of the population and females 157 (20.74%).

The workforce is 165 male, 176 female with 144 (42.23%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 116 males and 28 females. 61 males and 19 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 3 male and 5 female agricultural labor. 197 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of GANGAPUR CITY and Karauli to sell cot and make their living.
