Gourela is a small village of 699 hectares in Girwa Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gourela depends on Udaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 39.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Gourela is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Gourela's pin code is 313031[4], and village code is 03153900. The area of Gourela is segregated as 51 hectares irrigated area, 113 hectares unirrigated, the 103 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 42.56 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Gourela is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1702 and has total administration over 378 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 14 (0.82%) males constitute 6 (0.35%) of the population and females 8 (0.47%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 996 (58.52%) males constitute 504 (29.61%) of the population and females 492 (28.91%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Udaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
