Govindi is a small village of 1208 hectares in Nawa Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Govindi depends on Nawa, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 70.00% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Govindi is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Govindi's pin code is 341509[4], and village code is 01904200. The area of Govindi is segregated as 146 hectares irrigated area, 845 hectares unirrigated, the 167.1 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 50 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Govindi has One post office (Govindi B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Govindi has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Govindi is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2108 and has total administration over 377 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Govindi has 357 children, 190 boys and 167 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 123 (5.83%) males constitute 70 (3.32%) of the population and females 53 (2.51%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 162 (7.69%) males constitute 81 (3.84%) of the population and females 81 (3.84%).

The workforce is 512 male, 421 female with 643 (68.92%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 422 males and 221 females. 215 males and 141 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 35 male and 14 female agricultural labor. 290 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Nawa and Nagaur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
