Green Lantern is an upcoming American superhero television series, based on the DC Comics Green Lantern|character of the same name. It is produced by Greg Berlanti, written by Seth Grahame-Smith and Marc Guggenheim, and will air on HBO Max in 2021.
Green Lantern "will depict the adventures of a multitude of Lanterns, including Guy Gardner (comics)|Guy Gardner, Jessica Cruz, Simon Baz, and Alan Scott and many more. The series will also feature fan favorites such as Sinestro and Kilowog, and will introduce new heroes to the ranks of the Green Lantern Corps." The series is also stated to span several decades.[1][2]
A live-action Green Lantern TV series is currently in the works for the HBO Max streaming service, with Greg Berlanti producing the series.[3][4] In October 2020, it was announced that the series had been ordered 10 episodes and that Seth Grahame-Smith and Marc Guggenheim had been attached to write the series, with Grahame-Smith serving as showrunner.[2]
Filming for the series began on April 16, 2021 in Los Angeles.[5]
